I am a cell and molecular biologist interested in extracellular vesicles, cellular ageing, stress responses and quantitative functional biology.

My scientific path began with life-science training at the University of Delhi and continued with an MSc in Neuropharmacology at the University of Galway. I subsequently worked with Dr Brian McDonagh in Galway on redox biology, peroxiredoxins and mitochondrial disease mechanisms.

I then gained industry-linked research experience through OmniSpirant Ltd. and the Lambe Institute for Translational Research, contributing to engineered cell and extracellular-vesicle-based therapeutic delivery work. This strengthened my interest in translational experimental systems and biologically derived delivery platforms.

During my MSCA TiCardio doctoral research, I studied how ageing and cellular senescence alter endothelial cells and the extracellular vesicles they release, including the effects of senescent endothelial EVs on naïve recipient cells. The work combined primary human endothelial models, EV characterisation, functional assays and quantitative proteomics across collaborative research environments in France and Germany.

Most recently, in the Lavieu Lab at Université Paris Cité, I optimised and standardised quantitative NanoLuc-based assays in engineered mammalian cell systems to evaluate extracellular-vesicle cargo delivery, including work with modified and lipid-hybridised EVs in a cross-institute translational collaboration.

These experiences have converged around extracellular vesicles, ageing and stress biology, quantitative cell-based experimentation and proteomics. While these remain central to my background, I am also interested in applying this toolkit to broader translational research questions and other biological or therapeutic areas. Alongside research, I enjoy exploring entrepreneurial and innovation-oriented projects in parallel.

My work combines extracellular-vesicle biology, cellular ageing, quantitative cell biology and proteomics, with an interest in extending these approaches to broader translational questions.

Extracellular Vesicle Biology & Functional Effects

Investigating extracellular vesicles through their composition, characterisation and biological effects, from ageing-associated EV phenotypes to uptake, intracellular cargo delivery and functional responses in recipient cells.

Cellular Ageing, Senescence & Endothelial Biology

Studying how ageing and cellular senescence reshape endothelial-cell phenotypes and extracellular-vesicle properties, including the functional effects of senescent endothelial EVs on naïve recipient cells and thrombo-inflammatory readouts.

Quantitative Cell Biology & Functional Assays

Building reproducible experimental workflows in mammalian cell systems through reporter-based assays, transfection optimisation, EV-dose optimisation, experimental controls and quantitative functional readouts.

Proteomics & Quantitative Analysis

Integrating LC-MS/MS proteomics with quantitative and pathway-level analysis to identify biologically relevant protein signatures, interpret EV datasets and prioritise candidates for functional investigation.

I co-founded and organise Gene & Tonic at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, an interdisciplinary science-communication and networking initiative bringing researchers, students and life-science communities together through accessible talks, discussions and community events.

The initiative received €1,500 in FIR 2026 project funding from the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris to support its programme and development.
